DifficultFeature RequestsLove itPayment and BillingSpendingMy bank has switched to Visa Debit Cards. Not CREDIT CARDS but a Debit card. Your system will not accept my Debit Card issued by my bank to pay my bill. My bank does not have an option for a debit card, I must use what they offer. It is not my fault your system cannot tell the difference in a debit card and credit card. This makes it difficult for me to pay my bill because I do not want you to have my bank account numbers to just take money. I used my bank today to make a payment because Avant is ruining my credit with late payments and is increasing my balance charging me fees for being over the limit and late. This is your fault not mine. I am more than angry about all this and after 7 phone calls I have found that Avant really doesn’t care about my as a customer, it’s about getting paid. I am told Avant is never going to accept Visa debit cards and that I just need to find a way to pay my bill. I love my Avant card and do not want to cancel it and I have no problem paying my bill, but Avant needs to accept my debit card.

BugsDifficultHate itUpdatesI have had my Avant MC for several years now, and have made all of my payments on time. I live in what is considered to be a “rural area,” so I do not and cannot receive mail (USPS) at my home address; I can ONLY receive regular mail (USPS) at my local Post Office, just like all of my neighbors here in Stateline, Nevada (on the Nevada-side of South Lake Tahoe). This has been an issue with Avant (serviced by WebBank) for several years now, and there is no option to have a new card (my current card expired August of 2024) sent via UPS or FedEx, which I CAN receive at my home (physical address). This has become an extremely frustrating situation, especially because I recently received a Credit Line increase, but I have no card to use! I understand the initial reservations on their part to accept PO Boxes as a sole-address, but I’ve been a very loyal and fastidious customer for over 5 years now, yet there is still no way for me to receive a new card. It would be impossible that I am the only customer who has this (or a similar) issue/problem with “NO PO-Boxes,” so I’m surprised that after all of their years in business, they still haven’t updated the rules surrounding PO Boxes, especially for customers who have a *perfect* payment history which reaches beyond several years. Other than that aggravation, Avant is great!

Love itSpendingUpdatesWaitingMy wife and I just got kicked out of a resort and escorted out because the card kept being declined. After calling costumer service and told my card was reset. Once outside police was waiting for me and my wife once I showed that the card was indeed under my name I was not arrested. But unfortunately me and my wife was told we had to leave the resort. I’m actually thinking about closing this account not worth the hassle. Update After my first bad experience, that has thankfully not happened again. I was able to fully test its limite witch in my case was 2K I maxed it out and now paid it in full.. I just wish they would up date right away like capital one as soon as you pay the balance updates the available balance even though the payment is still pending. I love that about capital one card.2 days since I paid the 2 k and it’s still showing like I own it. Not a good feeling.
