Not Optimal For years it's frozen and buffered randomly, mostly if the device goes to sleep. Then you have to wake the device, maximize the app (if it isn't already on top), & a few seconds later playback will resume. Had to buy a tablet to use it, because when I used my Motorola phone the phone would lock up if it went to sleep, and was hard to get it to respond and wake up. Alas my favorite talk station back home is an Audacity station, so I have no choice.

Audacy is one of the worst apps I have ever used. It can't reliably do its most basic function: playing a radio feed. Most of the time, the audio simply stops after coming back from a commercial break. In the worst cases, the feed crashes so bad that the only way to get it back is to close the app and clear the cache. This has been a long recurring problem over more than a year. I have tried with different phones, including Pixel 7 and Samsung Galaxy S24. The problem is the app.

Never Opens Properly Absolutely ridiculous, everytime I try to open the app, it gets stuck on a blank screen and never loads up. I have to clear data and cache, THEN I have to sign in again and it's such a hassle. The app never works with Android Auto unless you clear the app and sign in, and then the next day you try to use it, you have the same exact issue over again. Worst app ever and it is basically unusable.
