It has been several months since I last started writing this review and no Accessibility improvements have been made to fix the problem with VoiceOver, I have seen most of my friends on Clubhouse leave the app because of the changes to the new interface to the point where VoiceOver can’t read the interface because there is no text accompanying the button it is just a button on screen and Screen recognition with VoiceOver has to be enabled in order to navigate the app, I think that is highly unacceptable and something needs to be done about it I have been using Clubhouse for over a year or two, I am very disappointed with the app, not being accessible because voiceover is not able to read certain buttons due to the layout change in the app from an interface where voiceover was able to fully read the app without issues to an interface where voiceover only reads most of the application without issues and in the room most every button except one or two buttons is announced as button. I honestly think it is a waste of time to keep updating the app if accessibility for people who are blind and visually impaired is going to get broken every time there is a new update that adds more new features.

I loved this app because of the ability to find and explore communities of anything you wanted as a musician that’s great. However yes there was a chance for improvement for them to focus the suggested rooms to topics that I am interested in (music and arts) rather than any room topic anyone I follow was in….. HOWEVER WITH THIS UPDATE ITS AWFUL THEY MADE IT SO BAD they took away the suggested feature of rooms your friends follow completely away!!!!!! And to make matters worse and more annoying when you are trying to look for rooms that are live now GOOD LUCK because they jumble up a bunch of rooms that ALREADY HAPPENED!!! mixed in randomly with live rooms so big FAILURE for user interface. There is NO ORGANIZATION OR WAY TO FILTER THAT STUFF OUT OR ONLY LOOK FOR LIVE ROOMS. The aesthetic is nicer but the functionality and usability of this app is horrible I deleted the app after years with it because of how off base and tiresome navigating this update was. Horrible experience I can’t say enough it’s frustrating, I want to see more rooms that I’d be interested in and instead you take away every single suggested room unless I explicitly follow it….. but how am I supposed to follow it if I don’t even know it exists!!!!!??? And why is it so hard to view and find ONLY the rooms that are LIVE I don’t want to see hundreds of rooms that already happened in the past that I missed…….. install a filter or way to get only LIVE ROOMS

**Update: Just discovered that even if you toggle off all the notification settings, you still get notifications when invited to a new house. And you can only Pause notifications temporarily. Obnoxious. I turned off Notifications for the app in my iPhone settings. Was about to delete it.** The Clubhouse team want this ship to sink. They know how infuriatingly obnoxious the notifications are. Can’t join a house without deep menu diving to turn off notifications? No global setting for turning off these notifications? Can’t set notifications for DMs only? No one actually believes this is a good idea. Just like the “friend bar” at the top of the screen — worst UI of any social media app, makes no sense. The devs got a lot of funding for this app, are probably gonna enjoy paying themselves a nice salary while pretending to be “improving” the app, but actually just want engagement to go down enough that they can justify selling it off and making some exit cash. Either that, or they are an arrogant bunch who had a bright idea that took off — and then they assumed that they are geniuses and are not willing to second guess their own decisions. Too bad. Clubhouse felt cute, might delete later.
