The official app for Citi Bike, NYC’s bike share system.
Citi Bike consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bike share is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city.
The Citi Bike app gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going.
The Citi Bike app also shows upcoming public transit departures, including MTA subway trains, shuttles, local, limited, & express buses, LIRR commuter rail trains, Metro-North commuter rail trains, PATH rapid transit trains, Bee-Line local & express buses, NYC Ferries, the Staten Island Ferry, the AirTrain JFK, the AirTrain Newark, the Roosevelt Island Tramway, and NJT commuter rail trains, light rail trains, & buses.
Within the app, you can purchase the following Citi Bike passes:

InaccurateSpendingThe app offers a convenient service but one thing makes it intolerable. Single rides are expensive, so I got the $25 day pass. Expensive, but at last you're covered for the day right? Wrong. You only get 30-minute rides included. After that it's still $0.38 a minute! So you can never get a bike, ride and relax. You ALWAYS have to have your eyes on the clock. After 20 minutes, you're looking for the next parking station to end your trip & start another one, which ruins the experience.

Love itCitibike is a wonderful resource for getting around this city in a healthy way. It's convenient and wonderful that there are so many stations around where I work and live (northwest Brooklyn and lower Manhattan). My only complaint is that unavailable bikes do not always present as such; at some stations it can take a while to find a bike that actually works.

BugsCustomer ServiceI appreciate the interface and customer support, my main issue is that I am unable to report specifics about bike issues when I press the "repair" button on the dock. The in-app experience provides a window to write about it briefly before glitching, leaving me with generic feedback responses like customer satisfaction, bike availability, etc. I used to be able to do this and it doesn't work anymore.
