This review is for "Deer Plus" but I wasn't able to find it so I'm writing it here since this appears to be the same developer. The app would net another star (at the very least) if the its UI didn't sit under the phone's universal nav bar located at the base/bottom of the screen. This poor design makes it impossible to select buttons located at the bottom of the screen. Btw, if there's a setting to bring the app to the front or minimize the nav bar, I can't find it. I really enjoy using this app to learn Korean. it helps me better understand the characters, etc. But if you are learning a language with a different alphabet than your mother language, I recommend learning the languages alphabet on your own a little bit before. but it's a great app to train my listening and writing skills on Korean. though, they do advertise their premium membership kind of often, but that's okay because it's a great language app, better than duolingo.

I'm currently transitioning from Duolingo to LingoDeer, so it took a little while to get used to. Although, once I did, I rather enjoy it over Duolingo. Though you may already have it, I wish there was a streak notification on my home screen. Anyway, yes, it is a great app. Maybe not exactly a five, but if there was a minimum, it'd be 3.5. The money is definitely worth it. I'm grateful to have access to this app. It teaches more and better than Duolingo.
