The Tesla app puts owners in direct communication with their vehicles and Powerwalls anytime, anywhere. With this app, you can:
- Check charging progress in real time and start or stop charging
- Heat or cool your car before driving – even if it’s in a garage
- Lock or unlock from afar
- Locate your vehicle with directions or track its movement
- Send an address from your favorite apps to start navigation in your car
- Allow your passengers to quickly control media
- Flash lights or honk the horn to find your vehicle when parked
- Vent or close the panoramic roof
- Summon your vehicle out of your garage or a tight parking space (for vehicles with Autopilot)
- Update your vehicle software from wherever you are
- Engage with Powerwall: monitor how much energy is stored from solar, used by your home, or exported to the grid
- Download your solar production and battery usage data

Battery UsageBugsDeviceI'm using the app to charge my Kia EV6. The experience on Android seems very poor, especially for road trips. The app frequently becomes unresponsive, and searching for chargers (and navigating to them) is very unreliable. Even zoom operations with the map are risky, if they don't take minutes. The app's design seems good, but it needs stability and performance improvements.

BugsDeviceHate itApp on Android now freezes and stops responding after less than than 30 days of us. cleared data and cache, had to reprogram the key and it started working correctly for about 2 days, and now it's freezing and not responding anymore. Pretty frustrating and disappointed. not trying to get a support email to Tesla to find out what might be happening.

ConfusingDeviceLove itUpdatesWaitingUpdate (2/24/2025): One more star since now it seems pretty solid. But I can't give it 5 stars until a watch app for WearOS appears. They've done it for Apple Watch, why not this? Original (November 2022) Since my phone (S-22 Ultra) updated to Android 13 the phone key frequently stops working until I turn off Bluetooth and turn it on again. I don't know if this is an app or OS issue but it's very inconvenient.
