Feature RequestsHate itSpendinglime scooters are very helpful , especially in nyc (the bronx). but im very frustrated with a few things. if i purchase a lime pass , why does it not apply to group rides? now when it’s late at night and i’m outside with my friend and we’re trying to get home fast but also not spend so much money, but the stupid lime pass doesn’t even apply for group rides. i understand why it probably wouldn’t, but to be fair, it’s barely even a group ride if i’m only sharing it with one person… another thing, today i had 9 minutes left on my lime pass. it’s takes me about 7-8 minutes to get to work on the scooter. so i try to take one out and it wouldn’t let me because i don’t have $15 for the app to temporarily hold. which is fine extremely stupid because if i paid for the lime pass, i should be able to finish it. why are you being greedy and trying to hold $15 like i didnt already pay in FULL for the lime pass??? so now im late for work, AND i didn’t even get to finish my minutes on my lime pass, so yes i do feel like my money was quite wasted. you guys should have all this type of information displayed BEFORE people even create an account let alone spend money within the app.

Version 3.34.0
Hate itNetworkSpendingI have no idea how Lime got 4.9 stars on App Store given so many negative reviews and my personal horrible experience!! 1. You are required to do 4 trainings before the first moped ride which is fine for me, BUT chapter 3 of the lesson could not even load properly!! We spent 30mins in front of the moped trying to complete the trainings and both mine and my husband’s phone was stucked at chapter 3. My phone had good internet access so it’s not the network issue. What a waste of time!! Please hire some reliable engineers!! 2. When we tried again couple hours later, we finally completed the training and was able to ride on the moped. For a 3 mile 35 min ride we were charged almost $20, which is even a bit more than Uber. Why would I ride a moped for most money and time?? Maybe just for the one time experience but certainly not us a frequent option. 3. Finally and the worst part of the experience and parking and ending the trip. Be aware, you could only park in some designated and limited spaces. The closest spot we count was 0.3miles away from our hotel in a parking a lot. I had to walk back to the hotel. AND!! After we parked at the parking space and on our way walking back to the hotel, the parking lot supervisor chased after us telling us to move the moped out of the garage!! So we had to go back again and drag the moped out of the garage. Overall extremely terrible experience and delete the app right away! Garbage!

Battery UsageHate itSpendingWaitingAs a consistent customer of Lime’s e-scooter service, I’m taken aback by their constant pre-authorization hold. This unexpected charge appears as a pending transaction on my bank statement, causing inconvenience. While I understand that companies may implement such holds to ensure sufficient funds for rides, Lime’s holding of funds is frustrating. According to Lime’s Help Center, they apply a pre-authorization hold when a ride begins, which is released immediately after the ride ends and refunded within 10 days. The hold is excessive, especially considering that typical Lime rides consist of a $1 unlock fee plus a per-minute charge ranging from $0.15 to $0.30, depending on the city. For short trips, the hold far exceeds the actual ride cost, unnecessarily tying up funds. Moreover, the 10-day refund period is lengthy. In my case, the hold remained on my account for a few days, impacting my available balance. This delay is inconvenient and could pose significant issues for users with limited funds. Lime should be more transparent about these holds, clearly informing users the reason. Additionally, reducing the hold amount to better reflect typical ride costs and expediting the refund process would greatly improve the user experience. Until Lime addresses these concerns, I am hesitant to use their service again and would caution potential riders to be aware of these pre-authorization holds that may temporarily affect their bank balances.
