I don’t write reviews often, and i will start by saying im a bit biased. Been playing it through the lower “leagues” for a good couple days and the mechanics of the game are good feeling, the way cars feel is great; The ONLY complaints i personally have is the way maps are designed/camera positioning.. a lot of the time the camera will go into weird angles and it can make fluent driving and drifting a bit of a headache. It’s definitely on some maps more than others. The only other thing I’d change is some of the gradient of colors, it can be REALLY hard to see where the map leads on offroad maps.. Other than that im pretty happy with the game, started F2P and was holding up wins and good board times.. I got to lvl 30 in the weekly and said screw it and bought a week of sponsor ($2-$3) and managed to get the current S class super car (Thor) so thats why im a bit biased.. But prior to that i was able to grind up and get good B-A tier cars completely free. I understand not many people will have as fortunate luck or even people that have spent WAY too much money on a drifty car (kinda) gambling game.. If you wanna stay F2P do all that you can and expect a bit of day to day playing, it’s not gonna happen instantly where you get the whole list of cars.. Just enjoy it rather than have high expectations. My overall opinion is a 4/5 but im giving 5 Stars cause of my biased luck lol

Beyond its utility, the game became a source of comfort, distracting us from the fear outside with its thrilling races and cooperative gameplay that brought our family closer together. Its mechanics, which focus on mastering control and adaptability, mirrored the resilience we needed to navigate the crisis, reminding us to stay steady even in uncertainty. While Hot Slide offers exhilarating entertainment, its impact transcends gaming—it united us, lifted our spirits, and demonstrated the power of community in the most unexpected way. For these reasons, I believe Hot Slide is the greatest game ever made, a symbol of hope and perseverance that transformed a simple mobile game into a tool of survival and connection.

I really love this game, I love being able to drive different kinds of cars but there are some personal flaws to me. I personally don’t like the ranking system, as once I got to league 19, all of my cars except my horizon were recommended not to be used as they weren’t up to the standards of the league, and my horizon isn’t fast enough to win races, making it harder to level up my cars. Also the energy is a turn off, I don’t like having to wait hours to race once I’m out of energy, I feel like a better alternative would be that you only lose energy if you lose a race, so more like lives that you get back over time, so if you win you are rewarded by being able to keep racing. Also personally I’m not a fan of the luck factor to get better cars, I am never able to get good cars just the same taxi or rv, and I find that when I’m racing I’ll be using a level 18 atomic and it’ll put me against a level 21 maverick and I just do not stand a chance. And I find that some car types are way better than others. Like a street car would never win against a muscle car, there’s no way, but I really like the Horizon I customized, but I just can’t win unless I use a muscle car. I do love the idea of being able to make your own livery designs, and I think that should be expanded on to other cars as well. Those are my personal gripes but other than that I love this game!
