Voting and Karma:
Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts.
While karma doesn’t directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content.
Reddit Premium:
Purchase Reddit Premium to enjoy an ads-free experience and access to premium avatar gear, r/lounge, custom app icons, and more.
Payment will be charged on a recurring monthly or annual basis to your Apple account. Your monthly or annual Premium subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription ends. Cancel anytime in your device’s Account Settings. No partial refunds.

contentsocial_and_communityReady it gets a bad rap because of all the weirdo leftists that post their ramblings from their mom’s basement after vigorously, touching themselves to weird anime porn. Well, this is true, and that there is copious amounts of “larping” going on if you can avoid those pockets of blue haired septum piercing ex baristas then it really has lots of smart people with useful information. Not to mention there is so many hot naked moms on here is worth it just for that lol! Truthfully, if you’re in your automotive stuff repair renderings and just discussing different stuff, you can get a lot of info you can’t really find on any other messageboard or website. Because it’s actively used if you have a question about a car it doesn’t take three weeks for someone to reply. You usually get a reply pretty quickly. And those with lots of karma, make it easy for you to tell if they are just yanking your chain or actually giving you useful information. If Reddit could just read itself from the propaganda that is pumped through it daily it would be one of the best social media platforms around.

contentcustomer_supportsecurityI spent like an hour reporting this huge page full of men talking about women just “being holes”. “To let men grape them” “they don’t have a choice” “Feminist sl*ts need it more than anyone” “stay stupid let men do whatever they want to you” mind you there were vids of grape. I reported it and nope. Apparently it doesn’t violate guide lines? Not to mention there were girls that looked reallyyyy young. Lots of glamorizing violence like smacking women and hurting them to get them to obey to you. Cause “even in their sleep they don’t get a choice. Sleeping is consent.” Mind you women were crying and apparently it doesn’t violate guidelines?… ok well if that doesn’t violate guide lines what does? Do women have to d!e before people start taking it serious? They were mad at feminist for “ acting smart” instead of giving in and having self respect. “Women don’t need education they need to stay dumb.” They posted women betraying other women too and said that the Women that betrayed the feminist has earned her right to be used. Not to mention they called women that were dressed with skirts and stuff sl*ts but when a woman was dressed modest they said women don’t deserve modesty. The way they were idolizing s*x offenders too is crazy. I mean it was stacked to the brim of these disturbing things. These pages need took down. These predators have a whole different thought process that doesn’t need to be a community.

performance_and_bugsfeature_requestsmonetizationI don’t need to go into what Reddit did when they ended third party clients - there’s plenty of discussion of how horrible that decision was elsewhere. What bothers me is that this first party app is so awful. For months now, there has been a bug where all interaction just freezes up. Can’t scroll or anything, but at least that one isn’t terribly frequent. There *is* a terribly frequent bug where individual links won’t work - no feedback whatsoever when you tap them, not even to say “this couldn’t be loaded.” If this isn’t a bug but rather the underlying post cannot be accessed, then it’s just terrible UX. And for the past week or so, there has been a new and exciting bug where most of the app works, but you can’t interact with the content of comments. This means you can’t click on links and can’t make in-line images larger. These are pretty core functional behaviors that would be caught by regression testing at any competent software firm - or, for that matter, by the one-man development team that made my favorite third party app before Reddit forced him to shut it down with their absurd API fees. You’ll use this app because you have to, because the web browser experience is actively hostile on mobile. But it’s inarguably a worse experience than the alternative apps were a couple years ago, and I can’t wait till a decent alternative service comes along.
