What makes LingoDeer different? Its teaching power.

Instead of relying on users to figure things out, LingoDeer offers a structured, clear and motivating path toward fluency.

By providing the best structured curricula among apps and clear explanations on grammar, LingoDeer enables users to form sentences in their own words, not just memorize and repeat after a phrasebook.

As a result, users gain a clear sense of progression through following this path and are able to maintain long-term motivation.

What’s more, the variety of activities supported in LingoDeer gives users the flexibility to personalize their study. From speaking exercises about food allergies, to drilling words with flashcards or 5-min pop quizzes during lunch breaks, let LingoDeer surprise you with every session.

If you don’t know where to start with learning a new language, start with LingoDeer.

the app is free, but makes you pay for the rest of the lessons and every other useful feature after the FIRST short section. Under someone elses review the devs said if you do the alphabet section and finish it all then you can "progress to the rest of the lessons for free" but thats NOT TRUE. The free trial version is not worth it at all to learn the app and see if it's worth it to buy. You promote the app as a free to download app then put everything useful behind a paywall. Not okay.

This review is for "Deer Plus" but I wasn't able to find it so I'm writing it here since this appears to be the same developer. The app would net another star (at the very least) if the its UI didn't sit under the phone's universal nav bar located at the base/bottom of the screen. This poor design makes it impossible to select buttons located at the bottom of the screen. Btw, if there's a setting to bring the app to the front or minimize the nav bar, I can't find it. I'm currently transitioning from Duolingo to LingoDeer, so it took a little while to get used to. Although, once I did, I rather enjoy it over Duolingo. Though you may already have it, I wish there was a streak notification on my home screen. Anyway, yes, it is a great app. Maybe not exactly a five, but if there was a minimum, it'd be 3.5. The money is definitely worth it. I'm grateful to have access to this app. It teaches more and better than Duolingo.
