Piece of junk. All settings to unlock the phone VIA Google Assistant and get personal results while the screen is locked are enabled and I still cannot do certain things without physically unlocking my screen. What the hell is the point of a "hands free" experience? This used to work and now it's been broken for about a year. Google products take years to fix so I don't expect this to be fixed anytime soon. Absolutely useless. Considering leaving Google all together.

I use this app constantly. One of the things that I cannot stand is the fact that there seems to be no way to shut off the screen prompt for quick phrases without disabling the quick phrase. I love using "stop" and "snooze" for alarms and timers, I often use "answer" and "decline" for incoming phone calls. I don't love that the prompt completely covers up the caller's name. It should be possible to disable the onscreen prompt. Also, the email listed in the app store is disabled.

I did not give any sort of consent to the AI replacement, I want assistant back! In the meantime I'm turning off this garbage and revoking all permissions it has from my phone until it is optional, as it should have been. Thanks to googles forced implementation of fingerprinting, I will already be moving away from android for my next device (and swapping to another OS on the current one in the meantime) tbh but this is definitely the final nail in the coffin
