Hey Ventra, I just got a new phone and Ventra app updated. Why is the app so laggy? When first started, it won't actually let me click on anything for 20 seconds or more. Similarly, when I first show my ticket, I can't tap the screen to show the Conductor the pattern for a long time. Bug: if location is not enabled, many things don't work. Please ease up on requiring location. E.g. I cannot manually enter a favorite stop without enabling location - STUPID!! The app actually FREEZES if I try!

This app is absolutely useless. Hands down one of the worst apps in the app store. It no longer recognizes any of my cc/debt cards. Shows wildly inaccurate bus times, shows arrival times for "ghost" buses that never show up, constantly crashes, super slow and laggy, favorites no longer work. This app is officially bloatware as far as I'm concerned. CTA/RTA and the developers should be ashamed of themselves

Bus times are never accurate. Buses are usually late, which is understandable given traffic changes, but some buses never come. It's anyone's guess whether a bus is late or never coming. Not all buses have transponders, and even those times are inaccurate. It's 2025, the technology to track where a bus is isn't that expensive for a major metro system and it's not complicated.
