THE ADVENTURE BEGINS when Carla Page, a young journalist, receives an unexpected invitation from billionaire Ruben Navarro to join his yearly private party on a tropical island. When Carla gets there, she finds herself surrounded by some of the world’s wealthiest, most influential people… and right in the path of the worst storm of the year. But being unable to escape the inclement weather will be the least of her problems as a mysterious murder occurs moments after she sets foot on shore. Carla puts on her detective’s hat and dives into solving the crime, but each new clue just raises more questions. Carla soon finds out that murder isn’t the island’s only secret.

AddictingAdsLove itSpendingFirst off I want to say that the graphics, storyline, and gameplay are all a 10/10 for me. I love the story and I love the puzzles but the hints and energy are the reason why I won’t be continuing with this game. You start the game off with a certain amount of hints and you can get another hint for free by watching ads. This is nice until you realize you have to watch three ads in order to get one hint. If I spend more time watching ads then playing the game, I become disinterested in it. You get a lot of playtime when you first start but then you can barely continue on without paying for hints or energy. The energy replenishes over time but it’s too much time. The one thing that lead me to writing this review is the fact that every single item you click on during the hidden object parts of the game uses energy…as does your responses in conversations. This is ridiculous. I understand wanting people to spend money on your game but this is not the way. I would have rather had this game be paid for and made a one time purchase to play through it all at my own pace rather than to have to pay for energy if I want to continue. It’s tiresome to watch ads. I appreciate the option but it would be different if my energy wasn’t being spent every time I clicked on an object. It’s just too much of a hassle.

Feature RequestsSpendingI did the math after purchasing 3000 energy. At 200 energy every 24 hours, that’s 15 DAYS worth of energy. Do you know how far that got me in the game? Do you know how much game play it was? About a half hours worth, and no where near the end of the game, maybe 10% progression, and that feels generous. Meaning this game takes months to complete, even with purchases. I just did some more math. In the game you receive an envelope taped to your door. It cost 5 energy to pull off the piece of tape. There’s two pieces, so 5 more! Put the envelope on the table, that’s 20 energy. Open the envelope, that’s 20 energy. Read the letter, that’s 50 energy. 50!!!!!!!!!! The entire task that gets you 0.001% further in this game is 100 energy. That’s 50% of your 24 hour energy refill. The amount of people that would buy this game in full for $20 or even $35 is astounding, and it’s that same pool of people if not more that DNF because of how greedy the developers are. It could have been a great game, but how are any of us supposed to solve the mystery if we forget the details of the case because you can only play 5 minutes every 24 hours for 6 months? I’ve never seen such greedy game makers before and I can’t get over how much they truly don’t care about if the game is good nor what the user experience is. We’re breathing dollar signs to them. Despicable, sad, embarrassing, and distasteful.

AddictingFeature RequestsHate itInaccurateLove itSpendingWaitingI really love the game. Its graphics, story line, characters, puzzles, the true crime. But it’s really annoying to have to wait almost 4 hours to get just enough energy to play for 30 minutes. I hate that it takes so much energy to do the smallest things like talk to the characters or every time you over click in the wrong area it takes away 10-15 energy. And sure 2.99 for 200 something energy isn’t bad but I’d find myself buying energy A LOT. I like how at first it gives you 2000 energy but after that ran out I feel like I’d have to wait days just to get back to that amount. I really love the game and find myself addicted to it but it gets frustrating where I’ll be gone for a LONG time and only have 70 energy. And for it to run out after 2-3 tasks/talking sessions. Also I feel like you should make a choice to where we can get out of the talking, so we can go find items, and do others achievements for energy. Even when I close and open the game it automatically puts me into talking. I suggest fixing the energy thing, making things cheaper, and not taking away energy when getting something wrong in the searching puzzles, or maybe just not as much energy. I don’t want to be spending most of my game time worrying if I have to buy energy or not.
