This right here is the poster child for how ads should be done in apps. Don't get me wrong, there's ads everywhere. But they're entirely optional (there's a couple pop up offers for the game itself you have to exit out of, but that's it). Want a power up during a level? Watch a quick ad. Or don't. They incentivise you instead of locking progression behind ads you can't skip. Don't feel like watching ads today? Then don't. You can still play the entire game without them.

The game is fun but it's too reliant on ads. There are no "mandatory" ads in the sense of having to watch after each match or anything, but if you want to keep your combat level equal with the recommended level of the missions, you're going to have to watch a lot of ads to keep up. They even have daily rewards for watching 40 ads every day. Update: A permanent ad removal purchase was added for the low-low cost of $100, costing more than even the most expensive AAA games.

It's a cool game, if a little overly simplistic. I like the idea of having a "team" of ships rather than just one to make the gameplay more interesting. The glaring reason I gave it two stars is the shameful cash grab this game is. I know it's not breaking news for app games in general but $99.99 to remove all ads?!? Are you guys serious, especially when over 3/4 of the game has ads?? It's just ludicrous and I'm out until that's adjusted.
