My experience with Lyft has been absolutely terrible, and I strongly advise against downloading this app. First, the app constantly triggers repeated credit card authorizations, which is incredibly annoying. Worse, it clearly does not accommodate a wide range of card types — digital cards like Wise are rejected, and it seems you can only use “traditional” cards with printed information on the surface. After several failed attempts to get a valid payment method registered, my account was locked. When your account gets locked, you are forced to contact customer service — but the app’s interface is so badly designed that finding the right contact option is frustrating and deliberately confusing. When I finally reached customer service, they said the technical team would handle the issue, but nothing happened even after nine hours. When I followed up, I was told not to send additional inquiries — incredibly rude and dismissive. This was hands down the most infuriating user experience I’ve ever had with any app. Save yourself the headache and avoid Lyft.
