This app used to be great. I have been a user for years and up until recently, loved the app. Several series I was in the middle of reading now cost more than a book at the store to read after all is said and done. Even the episodes I've already seen cost to view again. It used to be free to read (most things) on the app. I understand the creators need to be compensated and don't mind some ads for this, but even that has gotten out of control.

I can't tell what I've read anymore. Why have read episodes darkened for as long as I can remember, only to suddenly change it so that the read episodes be lighter than the unread ones. Also, I realize it's probably more of a problem for English, but having every episode being marked with "read" doesn't help when present tense and past tense are spelled the same, so it just looks like everything has been read. I liked it better when only the episodes you read got marked

A strong issue is that the app has a very frustrating tendency to flash ads for whatever comic it thinks should be read, even if it's strongly not to your taste. These ads also take you to the comic, with only a tiny 'X' to close it. Even with a stylus, it feels extremely imprecise to close, so you tend to get stories added to your list without wanting them at all, and should be fixable by just adding in a "take me there!" button. This makes it feel like a disingenuous way to drive up numbers.
