Wish there was a way to disable lives. I have no interest in joining lives or going live. I just want it for messaging and these lives always pop up. It's so annoying. New edit 2/1/25: since the new update literally none of my messages get delivered when I send them. This messaging app is just obsolete. Instead of changing the look of the icons maybe spend some time making your app work. Bye.

The quality and ease of use this app has degraded since I started using it 7 years ago. As a lot of recent reviews have stated, as of February 2025 Kik is extremely unstable to run on even the latest Android OS. it crashes constantly, my messages never send in a timely manner and only refreshes messages when the app is open now. It's annoying there's no way to mute the live tab. Don't want to use it. It's frustrating the app opens the live tab by default now.

The ads are ridiculous! I can deal with ads however when the ad blocks your whole screen off and any click you make automatically downloads the app being advertised is absolutely ridiculous! I click my home screen button during a Pandora ad and suddenly I get an alert saying Pandora is ready. Unacceptable. You don't have the right to trick people into downloading apps!
