My college uses blackboard, so I downloaded the app. From 9/16/23: Recently however, I had randomly log out of my account on the app. It tells me that my session has ended, but in the app never logged me out, except when my college makes the students change their password. IGNORE NEXT SENTENCE (I didn't realize this was under Bug fixes) As of 2/20/25, The app no longer redirects me to the app after I login into my blackboard account, and I am thinking about uninstalling the app.

Starting 6 months ago, I kept constantly getting logged out. I have to keep logging back in and using my 2FA to get back in. There were no new policy changes from my university that would cause this to happen. To make it even more frustrating, I don't even get push notifications anymore. I find out about new grades or content either through classmates or through old-fashioned emails. It's become a burden to students to use this app.

Not a single class loads properly in this app, and everytime go to any section of the app I get the same "somethings not right" message 20 times over popping up for every page I am on. For a app that has been on for years now, its ultimately more useless then its website counterpart. update: still happening, but now nothing shows up. i get notifications for announcements, do they show up inapp tho? No. Its been months and my work has been set back because they do not update this app.
