I’m using it to help with learning Japanese and Korean and it’s pretty good with keeping me engaged. I like how you have to choose the right word in order for you’re card to be effective

First, I think their free-to-play option isn’t great yet. They say you can watch ads to restore energy if you don’t want to pay the premium option but for me it just shows up with a message saying “no ads”. So my energy just stays at zero. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten a chance to play it for long enough to be willing to pay for the premium yet because you don’t really get a chance to play for long enough before your energy is depleted. I think they should offer a week free trial or something to at least show you if the premium option is worth paying for. Secondly I feel like the monthly pricing system is too high. I prefer to pay monthly but charging $12 for a game is asking a bit much considering the lower prices offered by their competition. Lastly, I love the reward system of being able to collect cards and craft items but the teaching system for new vocabulary is pretty dull. You just read a list of the new words and hope you can remember them during the fight. I feel like learning new vocab should also be a game in some way otherwise you end up going into “battle” with a hope and prayer that a quick read through of a bunch of words is enough to get you by. Lastly I don’t feel like the teaching progresses that well yet. The way the vocab is divided and introduced is a bit repetitive. Even so, honestly I think this game is a great idea and has tons of potential but some adjustments are needed before I could recommend it to friends and students.
